  • Payments must be made via the online payment link on the Mount St Benedict College website. Please select the option titled Music Academy Ensembles
  • Should my daughter destroy or lose any music or part of an instrument borrowed from the College, I understand that I will need to pay for the cost to replace or fix it

To be a member of an ensemble as part of the Mount St Benedict College Music Academy, my daughter acknowledges and undertakes to:

  • Commit to participating in this ensemble for the entire year. She understands that this is a year long commitment
  • Understand that she is part of an ensemble and that her regular attendance as well as practice between rehearsals is vital to the success of the ensemble
  • Understand that participation in College based activities is a compulsory part of her commitment to the chosen music ensemble
  • Recognise that ensemble days and groups may change throughout the year. This is dependent upon teacher availability, the number of new students to the College and her ability level. At any stage, should the Ensemble Tutor feel that my daughter is struggling or finding the level easy, she may be asked to move groups to a more appropriate level
  • Arrive promptly to be prepared to start all scheduled rehearsals on time
  • Contact Ms Dalla Fontana, the Creative and Performing Arts Assistant (via emailkdallafontana@msb.nsw.edu.au) if she is unable to attend the rehearsal due to sickness or is required to attend an excursion for another subject
  • If she is injured or not well enough to participate, but is at school that day, she will still be required to attend the rehearsal, to listen and view the rehearsal
  • If she is unwell during a rehearsal, it is her responsibility to tell the Ensemble Tutor
  • Accept that if she misses rehearsals for unexplained reasons that she may be withdrawn from the ensemble prior to performances
  • Respect the property of the College and will leave every space used for rehearsals clean and tidy
  • Display good conduct and/or ensemble rehearsal manners. If not, she will be given a warning. If this behaviour does not improve then she will be requested to withdraw from the ensemble
  • She will pay attention to any teacher and/or student assistant that is organising any aspect of rehearsals or performance events.
