Diverse Learning
Mount St Benedict College embraces diversity as a strength and a source of richness within our learning community. The Diverse Learning Faculty works in partnership with students, families and teachers to ensure every girl is known, supported and challenged to grow.
Our approach moves beyond support alone. We focus on developing confident, capable learners by recognising individual strengths, interests and aspirations alongside areas where additional guidance may be required. This includes supporting students who experience learning difficulties or disability, those who require targeted intervention, and those with particular talents, passions or learning needs.
The Diverse Learning team helps students access the curriculum, build independence, and develop the skills needed for success at school and beyond. This support extends across academic learning, wellbeing, transitions and future pathways, working closely with our Careers team to ensure students are prepared for senior schooling, post-school options and meaningful participation in the world beyond the classroom.
The Teaching and Learning Resource Team is comprised of Diverse Learning Teachers and Diverse Learning Assistants with expertise in the following areas:
- Learning Support
- Information Literacy
- Information and Communication Technologies
- Literacy and Numeracy
- Gifted and Talented
- Study Skills
