My Multimedia Major Project is a fashion and art magazine. The main component is the magazine's striking allure and artistry through images and typography arrangement. However, it also includes articles surrounding these topics, alongside some lifestyle influence. A key point of inspiration for my magazine was the work of Wes Anderson, with strong cohesion in colour, symmetry and tone. I tried to create a cyclical nature of the magazine by beginning with a collage and ending with another one, with links to this in between and cohesive graphics and imaging throughout.

My Multimedia Major Project, 'Siuil a Run,' is a music video that unfolds against the backdrop of a war, through the perspective of my main character. It captures her awaiting the return of her beloved while wandering around in nature. The looming possibility of a letter arriving to confirm his death in battle instils a sense of hope amidst dark times upon the viewers as they watch. I have utilised various software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, in order to display a range of multimedia skills.

My Multimedia Major Project, Upon a Quill is a short animation set during the French Revolution. It is about a member of the Committee of Public Safety, Luc, who realises his friend is going to be executed for crimes against the revolution. I used 2D flash animation and puppeteering to animate the piece and used After Effects to compose and render the animation.

My Multimedia Major Project ‘In this shirt’ is a music video demonstrating the lack of connection with beauty, specifically nature many individuals experience as they grow older, into their teenage years. It captures the negative and glum influence technology has in catalysing this disconnection from nature and beauty, which is achieved through cinematic shots, both in nature with natural lighting and indoor with artificial bright lighting. In the music video the protagonist is shown as a young child and a teenager, demonstrating the colossal gap in the protagonists mood at different ages as a result of influences such as technology.

My Multimedia Major Project, ‘Say Something’, is a music video about a girl losing two of her best friends into a car crash. Throughout the music video, there are flashbacks that symbolise the grief and loss the main protagonist experiences. I decided to incorporate key symbolisms including a necklace, polaroid camera and a photo album and use certain scenes to symbolise the high importance the three of them have throughout the music video and on the main protagonist as they struggle to deal with the grief and loss off her friends.

My Multimedia Major Project, 'Wake up, You're Dreaming' is a music video with the concept of 'dream vs reality'. In my project I did a dual focus on perception and internal emotions to the song 'My Tears are Becoming a Sea'. The uplifting instrumentals build tension, leading to moments of heightened drama, while the minimal lyrics encourage the viewers to construct their own unique narratives, drawing from their personal experiences and perceptions. The video showcases two parallel parts, representing how a boy is perceived by others on the outside as calm and composed while simultaneously revealing his internal struggles. This concept appealed to me as it would provide a unique and visually captivating way to portray the dichotomy between one's public facade and their private emotional turmoil. The exterior portrayal of the boy's calm demeanour is depicted through serene landscapes, soft lighting, and tranquil imagery created by the beach. In contrast with intense lighting and dissonant instrumentals with shots inside my house, giving a more personal sense demonstrating the notion of the boy's dreams/mind.

My Multimedia Project, ‘RUN’, is a concept film based on an abusive relationship. It follows the journey between two dual protagonists through the use of dance choreography and storytelling elements. Both the positive and negative sides of the relationship are highlighted through parallel scenes and flashbacks in daytime and nighttime. The video dives in and explores both individuals and their role in the relationship. One of the protagonists is revealed as more intimidating, controlling and manipulative, dominating the relationship. The other protagonist is seen as more vulnerable and ‘stuck’ in the toxic relationship, hence the film focuses on the character trying to ‘run’ away both physically and mentally from their once other half.

My Multimedia Project, called ‘I Love The Way’, is a thriller short film paired with a promotional poster. The film has an eerie, obsessive feel to it that is inspired by films and TV shows such as You, Black Swan, and Gone Girl. I aimed to highlight the uncomfortable nature of infatuation and the feeling of being watched within the premise of the piece. Through programs such as Adobe After Effects, InDesign, Premier Pro and Photoshop, as well as Adobe Audition, I was able to produce a completed Major Work I am pleased with.

My Multimedia Project, ‘Leisure Magazine’, is a teenage lifestyle magazine designed for relaxation. This magazine includes a range of unique design elements such as texture, typography and dynamic colours. I decided to make a teen magazine as I felt it aligned with my own interests and passions. I wanted a magazine that fit perfectly with all teenagers current obsessions from clothes to shoes and even film. I thoroughly enjoyed taking all the photographs included in ‘Leisure Magazine’ and editing them all before structuring each page. Although it was a challenging process, in the end I achieved my goal.

My Multimedia Project, ‘Avenir’ is a fashion magazine inspired by futurism, consequently becoming unique and innovative in nature, ultimately defying reality. I also created a promotional video, that replicated the images and manipulations present throughout my magazine. Ultimately, both pieces create an innovative and futuristic design, that is unique, and extremely modern for a contemporary audience. Furthermore, my project captures a vast range of images, both of male and female subjects, ultimately representing two genders within the one medium, defying the normality defined within magazines such as Vogue, or GQ, where they focus on just one gender.

My Multimedia Project, ‘Homesick’, is a conceptual music video, that explores a division of self by depicting the vast differences between youth and adulthood, using the settings of peaceful nature vs the darkness of city-life. The video is arranged to a soundtrack I mixed using Emile Mosseri’s 'Jacob and the Stone' and The Weeknd’s 'House of Balloons'. I shot this video in Sydney , using my friend as the actor. In the second part of the video, I used editing techniques to demonstrate an immense change both in the setting and the character. The aim of my video was to aesthetically capture the different types of emotions a person will experience in their life.

Montana Shehade
My Multimedia Major Project, 'Sonder', is a promotional short film about the realisation that each random individual is living a life as complex as your own, addressing the consequences of mental issues such as stress, over-thinking, and unhappiness. I used minimalism throughout my project, as well as post-modernism to represent the simplicity as well as complexity of one’s mind. Through neutral colours of black and white, clean spaces, few distractions and little clutter, I explore how something so simplistic may not be as it seems. My video aims to promote the effects of anxiety and stress, and how we should recognise individuals' struggles.

My Multimedia Major Project, The Idea, is a lifestyle magazine, specifically home, food, fashion, and travel. I used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom to edit and use effects for the images. To format the magazine, Adobe InDesign was used and to achieve the art displayed throughout my project, I used Adobe Illustrator. This magazine is targeted towards a younger audience as it incorporates bright colours, and bold designs. I also created a promotional video to go with it to further extend the ideas of the magazine.
