Location and Transport

Mount St Benedict College is located in the north-west of Sydney at Pennant Hills.

The College is situated on the corner of Pennant Hills and Beecroft Roads, with a native blue gum forest at the rear of the College. Our students commute from a broad range of suburbs in the Upper North Shore, Northern Districts and North-Western Districts of Sydney.

Trains

Students travelling via train use the Northern Line and walk approximately 10 minutes from either Pennant Hills or Beecroft Stations. Buses also operate from Pennant Hills Station to the College.

Buses

Mount St Benedict College is well serviced by buses which drop and pick up students in Beecroft Road before the start and at the end of the College day. Parents should make their own enquiries to TRANSPORT INFOLINE if train or bus travel is required.

The School OPAL card gives eligible students free or discounted travel between home and school, using the train, bus and ferry services you nominate in your application. For further information go to transportnsw.info/school-students

Bennies Metro Shuttle

Mount St Benedict College has launched a dedicated Bennies Metro Shuttle to service Cherrybrook Metro each day, before and after school (two buses).

The free service runs on the following timetable:

  • AM timetable: Shuttles run from 7:05 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. with departures at: 7:05, 7:15, 7:25, 7:35, 7:45, 7:55, 8:05, and 8:15 a.m. (the last shuttle departs from Cherrybrook Metro at 8:15am). Please note that this schedule is subject to local traffic on the day.
  • In the mornings, the bus drops students off at the Gate A Beecroft Road bus stop directly outside the College.
  • Please be aware that the shuttles are subject to local traffic conditions and may run off schedule due to traffic.
  • Morning Alternative Travel Option: If a Bennies Metro Shuttle is full, students can wait for the next scheduled Bennies Metro service (see timetable above). It is a good idea to aim for one of the shuttle buses departing before 7.55am, as the buses between 7.55am and 8.15am are often full. Alternatively, students may use the public CDC bus service (Route 632) or designated CDC school bus services (2131 or 3141) departing from Cherrybrook Metro (Bradfield Parade), which stop at Mount St Benedict College. Please note that a valid Student Opal Card is required for these services.
  • To ensure timely arrival at school, we recommend that students plan accordingly and have a backup plan.
  • Families are encouraged to use the Transport for NSW Trip Planner to identify suitable options.

  • PM timetable: Two Bennies Metro Shuttles (55 seats each) depart from Gate D starting at 3:20 p.m. (Departing once the buses are full) then at 3:40pm, 4:00pm, 4:45pm, 5:15 and 5:45pm (the last three shuttles depart from the College to time in with concluding cocurricular activities).
  • In the afternoons, the bus departs from Gate D - the bus bay located on Pennant Hills Road near Hull Road (students should walk on the gravel walkway past the Convent Chapel). Students must line up on the gravel footpath inside the Red Brick Wall.
  • Note: on Mondays (Week B Bennies Time only from Week Three in Term One): An additional afternoon shuttle departs at 2.15pm. The normal after-school timetable begins at 3.20pm.
  • Please note: When the 3:20pm services are full, remaining students then board two CDC public bus services (bus number 632), which arrive at this bus stop at approximately 3:25pm and 3:35pm; these buses also stop at Cherrybrook Metro (students will need to use their Opal card for the Hillsbus service).

No registration is required for the Bennies Metro Shuttle. Students must tap-on and tap-off the bus with their College ID card.
