Information & Communication Technology

Technology at Mount St Benedict College is integrated across all areas of the curriculum. Staff and students have access to a wide range of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to support their teaching and learning.

All staff and students have access to their own personal learning device. These devices feature a wide range of software and incorporate the latest touch screen and tablet technology. With over 60 specialised software titles pre-loaded, worth over $1,000 per student, the devices are built to support students across the entire curriculum.

All students have access to email, the BenniesNet Learning Environment along with access to the Library catalogue, e-books and nearly 1 GB of pre-loaded text books for use throughout their year.

All classrooms feature access to interactive whiteboards or interactive projectors and the College wide wireless network enables all users to connect easily to the resources they need, from wherever they may be. Both teaching and administrative staff regularly undertake Professional Learning in best practice use of technology for teaching and learning. The College ICT Steering Group representing both teaching and administrative staff meet regularly throughout the academic year.

Mount St Benedict College students have access to a rich technology environment with the focus of integrating technology when and where it is appropriate to enhance their learning.
