College Ring

In 2013/14 the Mount St Benedict Ex-Students Association (MSBESA) commissioned the design of a College Ring by a Sydney Jeweller, Quorra Jewellery.

The result was a unique sterling silver ring which incorporated all the elements of the current College Crest: the shield shape, the cross of Christ, the torch of faith, the word PAX and a path as a representation of the road of life. These were the same elements in the Crest designed by the first Principal, Sister Christopher Burrows in 1966.

The class of 2014 were delighted to be the inaugural Year to be offered the opportunity to receive the College Ring which was personalised by Quorra to include the engraving of their class year. MSBESA subsidised each ring presented at the Graduation Dinner. This tradition will continue with the class of 2015 onwards having the opportunity to receive their own College Ring at Graduation.

MSBESA envisages this ring will be worn with pride and in the future will be a reminder to the girls of their time spent at Bennies. Over their lifetime it will be a symbol recognised by fellow ex-students of their connection with the College community.
