Our curriculum is a carefully constructed path which leads girls to academic success now and into the future. It also assists the development of that confident inner person who has the strength of character and resolve to succeed throughout their life. It embraces the latest in 21st century learning philosophies.(LINK TO LEARNING PHILOSOPHIES)

The concept of curriculum differentiation underpins the teaching at all levels at Mount St Benedict. One size does not fit all. We recognize that within each classroom there will be many different learning needs, styles and abilities. Therefore we provide multiple options and pathways for learning to occur – through the curriculum we deliver and the methods we use.

At Mount St Benedict, there is true student-centred learning in action. We make every effort to meet each student at their individual point of need. Our approach values curiosity and initiative. It encourages students to take responsibility for their own learning.

If students need additional support or extension, our Gifted and Talented and Learning Support staff provide individualised attention.

Classroom activities are complemented by a wide range of co-curricular programs, which we encourage all girls to pursue.(LINK TO CO-CURRICULAR)

The benefits of a girls-only classroom from Year 7 to Year 12 are evident at our College. Independent research consistently demonstrates that girls simply learn better in a single gender environment (LINK TO WHY A GIRLS SCHOOL). Mount St Benedict girls have strong role models, an abundance of leadership opportunities and are less likely to limit themselves by conforming to gender stereotypes. When combined with our innovative learning programs, the capacity for girls to flourish grows.
