Pacific School Games Athletes
MSB now has two students who will compete at the Pacific School
Games in November in Adelaide. Congratulations to Caitlin Walsh
Year 8 (Swimming) and Shannyn Bissett Year 9 (Touch).
The MSB Intermediate Team dominated at the BBSSSA
Championships finishing the day without conceding a game.
Our Junior Team finished as Silver Medallists. Both teams
then went on to compete at the NSW CCC Championships at
Penrith in Term Three.
Our Junior Team finished as
Runners Up at the BBSSSA
Championships in Term Two.
Following the Intermediate
Team’s victory at the BBSSSA
Championships, they then
competed at the NSW All
Schools Championships,
progressing to the quarter
Shannyn Bissett and Capri
Vidler from Year 9 represented
NSW CCC at the Under 15
NSW All Schools Touch
Championships, with Shannyn
then selected to represent
NSW All Schools.
NSW All Schools Swimmers
A number of MSB girls qualified for the NSW All Schools
Swimming Championships. Congratulations to the Senior girls
who were awarded Broken Bay Divisional Champions: Jessica
Marcer, Olivia Taylor, Olivia Bygrave and Rachael Fraietta. These
girls are all only in Year 11, yet they broke both Senior Relay
records at the Broken Bay Championships and won both relays
at the NSW CCC Championships to be the best Senior Team in
NSW Catholic Schools.
Congratulations also to Caitlin Walsh (Year 8) who broke the
NSW CCC 50m Under 14 Breaststroke record.
MSB had a total of nine students compete at the NSW All
Schools Championships.
In 2015 MSB has been fortunate to have Australian Team
Swimming Coach, Nathan Doyle from Castle Hill RSL work with
our talented swimmers to achieve such strong results.
