2019 YEAR 7 PHYSICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM PERMISSION NOTE

Dear Parents / Guardians,

As part of the students timetabled Physical Education program, they will be given the opportunity to experience a range of different sporting and leisure activities across Years 7 - 10. Some activities will be undertaken in the College grounds (oval, hall or courts) whilst others will require the class to leave the College grounds via bus or by walking to a nearby venue.

The 2019 the activities that may take place either internally or externally to the College are as follows:

House Sports, Hip Hop Dance lessons, Athletics, Gymnastics, Ninja obstacle course, Court sports, Squash, Cricket, Softball, Soccer and a Swim & Survive Aquatics Program (Term 4)

Occasionally the girls will also participate in a power walking activity around streets in the surrounding area to the College. If rain affects a particular activity from going ahead, classes may also go to local indoor sports venues.

MSB teaching staff or external specialist instructors in these sporting / leisure fields will facilitate and supervise the activities. Please note, for the Term Four Aquatics Program and the up-coming Swimming Carnival, your daughter will need a one-piece swimming costume, goggles and a towel.

An outline of uniform and behavioural expectations for Physical Education activities will be provided in the front of your daughter’s PDHPE workbook. A copy of this will be given to students in their first PDHPE lesson. Parents and students will be asked to acknowledge and sign these requirements.

It would be appreciated if you could please complete the permission note (click here for note), by Monday 4 February. This will then enable the activities to commence from the second week of Term 1.

If you have any questions regarding Physical Education, please feel free to contact either of us at the College.

Yours sincerely

Mr David Campbell
