Dear Parents and Guardians,

As part of your daughter’s program of study in Personal Development, Health and Physical Education, she will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of sporting and leisure activities. These will take place in your daughter’s timetabled Physical Education lessons.

Some activities will be undertaken in the College grounds (hall, oval or courts) whilst others will require students to leave the College grounds via bus or walking to the venue.

The 2018 activities that may take place either internally or externally to the college are as follows:

AFL, Relaxation, Boot Camp, Touch Football, various sports games, Fitness classes and power walking around streets within the local area.

MSB teaching staff or external specialists in their sporting or leisure field will facilitate the activities.

An outline of uniform and behavioural expectations for these activities is provided in the front of your daughter’s PDHPE workbook. Parents and students will be asked to sign, acknowledge and agree to uphold these requirements, at the beginning of the school year.

Could you please complete the permission note by Monday 5 February. This will then enable the activities to commence from the second week of Term One.

Without a signed permission slip your daughter will not be permitted to leave the College and will be required to stay at school and complete theory work.

In addition, throughout the year some external fitness centres will also require that parents complete a Pre-exercise Questionnaire for their daughters as part of their protocol and risk management procedures. These forms will be sent home prior to the specific activity.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss any details, please contact me at the College.

Kind regards
