Orientation and Transition

Orientation Program for families entering the College in 2017

These occasions provide an important opportunity for both parents and students to be introduced to the school environment and to receive the necessary information to assist students to achieve a smooth transition. The Allwell Test for students and Parent Information morning will be held on Saturday 5 November 2016. Students who miss the test or who are late enrolments will take the test early in 2017.

Orientation Program for Year 7 2017

An Orientation Day for new Year 7 students is organised each year. On this day all students are invited to spend the day with us. It is a fun-filled day where all the girls will have the chance to meet the other girls joining us for Year 7. It will also give the girls a chance to get to know their Year 10 Peer Support Leaders who will help them settle into the College. Orientation for Year 7 2017 students will be held Friday 18 November 2016.

Orientation for new students commencing in Years 8 - 12 during the College Year

New students will spend the beginning of their first day with their House Coordinator who will provide them with key information. The new student will then be linked with a buddy who will help them to settle in their first few weeks. They will also be introduced to staff in the IRC (Library) and the ICT (Technology) Departments and Mrs Christina He, our College Chaplain.

A follow-up interview with the House Coordinator will occur about four to six weeks after entry to ensure all is proceeding smoothly.
