A team of talented Visual Arts students from Years 7 to 10 were chosen to collaborate on designing artworks as part of the 2016 Jubilee Year celebrations.

The designs are to reflect the theme of growth, metamorphosis and our Bennies values of Pax, Hospitality and Stewardship.

The design brief included incorporating the concept of gum leaves from our Blue Gum Forest transforming into fish a symbol of Christ. The motif of a flame, representing Christ’s eternal love for us transitioning into a triangle, a symbol of the Holy Trinity was also incorporated. These artwork designs will now go to a team of artists and designers who will develop them into banners and a variety of other different art forms.

These will begin to appear around the College next year, so look out for them. This was an incredible learning experience where the students were able to work with Mrs O’Kane and develop their designing skills, and work closely with students from other grades in a creative and collaborative way.
