Certain Laptop misadventures will be covered by a 3 year warranty. Insurance procedures will be outlined in a Laptop agreement. For example a hard drive that stops working will be covered by the warranty, whilst a dropped laptop with a broken case would have to be repaired as an insurance claim.

Report any problems to the College’s ICT Help Desk. The problem will be managed at the College. In addition, the Mount St Benedict laptop computers have a service agreement so that laptop computers are repaired in 24-48 hours Business Days. During repairs, students are provided with an equivalent laptop computer. If an insurance claim is required (for theft or damage), then Mount St Benedict will investigate and, if required, make an insurance claim. An excess fee of $500 may apply. The computer will be installed with tracking software which will disable the computer if stolen.
