November 2015
Class of 2015
Farewell
In the final week of Term Three, the College farewelled the
Class of 2015 as they prepare for their HSC examinations.
The week included a number of special moments for the girls
and their families – celebrating faith, friendship, family and
academic achievement.
2015 College Captain, Caitlin Montgomery reflected on their
journey at the Year 12 Academic Assembly,
“This year we have
all been tested as individuals and as a whole year group we have
come together, supported each other and moved beyond the
classrooms and school gates to learn life lessons and make real
connections and links between our school community, and our
wider community. Through this we were able to create a clear
understanding of who we are, what we value and how grateful we
should be.”
‘Connect’ Night
‘Connect’ Night was the first event of their final week, giving
the girls an opportunity to come together for an evening of
reflection and prayer on their shared experiences as a year
group. Connect is a program which runs at lunch times
for senior students at the College, providing them with an
opportunity to consider some of life’s big issues, to enjoy some
stimulating input and to share and reflect on some of life’s
more important concerns. The Year 12 ‘Connect’ Night, now
in its fourth year, provides an important reference point as
the girls near the end of their time at the College. The girls
shared a meal together in the staffroom and they also had the
opportunity to see some video messages recorded by a number
of staff members. The evening concluded with an informal
liturgy, setting a wonderful tone for the week that followed.

‘Connect’ Night
“Walk with these young women
Lord as they leave the safety of these
walls. May they always feel your
presence and know that the thoughts
and prayers of the Mount St Benedict
community go with them.”
